In the Nata Village Blog “Nata River Flows” what matters the most is that water has finally begun to fill that Nata River because it is providing water to a community and nourishing plants and trees along the river. In this blog, it explains that daily rainstorms are finally refilling the Nata River, which runs through the Nata Village in Africa. This matters to me because I think it is important that a village has a water source, and it is extra special that it is natural source. This blog matters to the community because it’s promoting how important water is. If the people in the Nata village are barley getting by with very little water, then our community should be more aware of saving our water and appreciating it more. This blog matters to the world because it is telling about the climate issues around the globe. The Nata village is suffering from an intense drought, along with many other areas. This should concern the world and encourage them to start saving the environment. If everybody cared about there little river as much as the Nata village does, then the world would be a better place and appreciate more natural things instead of wasting them. All in all what matters the most in the blog “Nata River Flows” is that the water has finally begun to fill the Nata River because it is providing water to the community and nourishing the varies plants surrounding the river.

In the YouTube video, what matters the most is reversing the predicted statistics for our future because our generation is headed down the wrong path. In the video it explains how negative our predicted future is. It was saying that our family would be a second priority and money would be a first. But the message of the video was that if you reverse the statistics, it would change to our life goal. Money would be a second priority and family would be our first. This matters to me because its motivating me to change my ways so that in my future I’m not only focused on materialistic items. When I'm older, I don’t want to always be at work and missing my children’s soccer games and school plays. I want to be there for my family. I don’t want to always be things. I want all my pride and joy to be dedicated to my family. This article matters to the community because its also encouraging others to stop focusing on materialistic items and their jobs and focus on their families because that’s what really matters in life. If the community changed this s it would spread the word and encourage others. This video matters to the world because it’s letting our generation know what people expect our reputation will be like in the future. It’s a warning video saying that there is a solution to stop the way we might become. Our world needs to apply this message so that we are not destroying our love for one another and replacing it with the love for money and materials. Overall what matters the most in this video is reversing the predicted statistics of what our reputation will be like in the future.

3 Items

My first item is my laptop. It is a white apple Mac book that has an extra hard drive for all of my photos, home videos, and music. EVERYTHING is on my laptop. I make music videos with my friends on it, listen to amazing songs, You Tube various styles of dance, and do all of my homework on it. My laptop is me in technology form. If anyone dissected everything on my Mac book, they would just see more of me.
My second item is my tennis shoe collection. I have over 30 pairs of sneakers! I have a passion for collecting sneakers. Majority of the shoes in my collection are converse. I like to think of them as mood shoes. I like to portray my emotions by what I am wearing on my feet. If I’m in a wacky, fun, and energetic mood then I will whip out my lime green neon converse. If I’m feeling more mellow and calm ill wear my faded black low tops. The great thing about this collection is it deals with two of my hobbies, fashion and dance. Every outfit I wear is based around the shoes. I love to mix and match my clothes so that my shoes really stand out. Another reason why my shoes are important is because I always wear cool street shoes for dance. Everyone at the studio has the same passion for shoes as I do. It’s so fun to see what everyone’s wearing on their feet. Overall my shoes just describe my hobbies and me.
My third item is my bible. My bible is hot pink and very very thick. It is full of highlighted verses and bent pages. My bible has a musty smell and a comforting feel. Everything that I need to no is written down in that very book. The verses and facts are the only things I need to no. I believe that my god put those words down through someone else to save me and everyone else. That is why it is so important to me. It is my basic guide oh how to feel, learn, believe, share, and most importantly love. I try to read my bible every night, but unfortunately I don’t. I should, but I don’t. Whenever I have a bad day or I’m frightened, sad, angry, happy, any emotion at all, I recite a verse in my head that I read from my bible. Overall it is so important to me.

In the You Tube video "I Remember", a commercial, what matters is the things of today are becoming the past because it is saying there is always going to be more in the future. In this video many different children appear saying an "I remember" quote. The quotes explain what these children remember about there childhood years with technology. The overall message of this video was to say that the future to many adults is the past for many children. This matters because it is promoting our achievement with becoming more and more advanced with technology by the second. This matters to me because it’s reminding me how much things have changed. I remember when I listened to CD's, but when my parents were kids CDs was the future. But now in 2009 children will say I remember when I listened to Ipods. What will the next generation say? What will be the new music device? This also matters to me because it made me realize the change. I was so used to the technology, I didn’t even realize the transitions of the new and better technology. This matters to the world because it just shows how much our world is progressing. Overall what matters the most in the Youtube video "I remember" is the things of today are becoming the past because it is saying we are always progressing.

In the Denver Posts “Littleton Family Praises Hero Grandpa” by Tom McGee, what matters is putting others before yourself. While visiting his grandson and newborn 3-week old granddaughter Sara Miller, James Lewin was hit by a truck while saving his granddaughters life. James was pushing Sara’s stroller across a crosswalk when a truck came zooming down the rode right at the two. James pushed Sara’s stroller out of the way with all of his might. Sara was pushed out of the way just in time, but her grandfather James was struck by the truck and is now in intensive care. This story matters because it shows an amazing story of a person risking what they have to save another life. I can connect to this story because my motto in life is “I’m third”. This means that God is first, others are second, and I’m third. This is important because I feel that helping another person is the most important thing. Whether it’s giving up your seat at lunch to giving up your life for someone else, they both are great things. This matters to the world because more people are helping others. Our world is full of good people, and when they make these noble actions it encourages others to help others too. Overall what matters the most in the Denver Posts “Littleton Family Praises Hero Grandpa” by Tom McGee, is putting others before you.

In the Nata Village blog “Nata River” what matters the most are all the beneficial ways the Nata River is used. The Nata River is located in the village and has many great uses. The river is a great source of water for many wild animals. Also the river is used as pure entertainment for many children. They enjoy swimming and playing in the calm waters during the hot days in the summer. Also many flamingos migrate to the beautiful water and enjoy its salty water. The reason why this matters the most is because such a small thing can benefit people so much. I can connect to this because I think it is important to make the most out of everything. We should cherish everything that we have. This matters to the world because we waste so much. While us Americans are taking 10 min long showers, children in Africa are struggling to find clean water in order to survive. One day that water will run out and the world will regret those 10 min showers, millions of swimming pools, the sprinklers on all day to make our lawns the green when its raining outside, and all those glasses of water poured and just poured away at restaurants. If the world just used the simple resources then our water would not run out as quickly. Overall what matters the most in the Nata Village blog “Nata River” are all the beneficial ways the Nata River is used.

In the Nata village blog “School house Rock” what matters is there not high tech bell that wakes the village up in the morning. Every morning the school watchman rings the bell five times every morning at five o’clock. This ring wakes up the school staff. The bell is also a warning for the students that they have an hour and a half until school starts. I think that this is a very cool technique. It would be impossible to have my entire community wake up at the same time. What I also find interesting is that the Nata village uses an old school bell, but it will wake up the surrounding tenets within a 10 mile radius. If my community was to have an instrument to wake up everyone, we would have some high tech machine that makes a large beeping sound or some other annoying buzzing sound. After reading this article, I am now more aware of how much money my community wastes. A simple non expensive bell can do the exact same job as a machine that costs thousands of dollars. My community could save so much more money if we didn’t spend so much on high tech machines. I think it is so cool that the Nata village uses everything that they have to the fullest. If every community was like this little African village, then the world would be much better off. All in all what matters the most in this blog is the basic school bell that wakes up the community.
